In current day western society, we have become quite comfortable not only having contact with, but also ingesting chemicals that we have no clue what they are. We understand the great advancements in science, and have accepted that we aren’t going to know about every little synthetic ingredient in the products we eat and use to bathe.

We trust that the FDA, or some governing body, regulates what is being sold to us and has proven it is safe. It’s not like they would sell something to us that hasn’t first been tested by some organization. I’m sure they wouldn’t just take the manufacturers studies, their word, that the product is safe. Not since they are the ones with vested interests in the products success…right?

Guess what? There are around 1200 chemicals banned in Eaurope and about only 11 in the US. Why? These checmical are in our food, skin care products, furniture, cleaning supplies, and kitchen supplies.

The truth is that corporations are very influential in the legislation governing what products make it to store’s shelves. This is why it is important for us, as consumers, to educate ourselves.

We are at a time  where cancer, diabetes, mental disorders, heart disease are all on the rise. Sadly, we’re now seeing more and more disease in our youth with autism, obesity, depression, and anxiety disorders.

You allow me to come into your home, and guide you through your refrigerator, pantry, cabinets, and cupboards. We will look at different processed foods, cleaning products, and self care products. Going deeper into each ingredient of the different products you are exposed to known as:

I’ll teach you to read the back label, and not to be distracted by the marketing of the front label, which suggests the product to be “natural” and “pure”.

I will share with you the products that I use, and help you to find suitable replacements for the products in your home that you are choosing to no longer use. Teaching you along the way how to choose between the different brands.

By the end of the tour you will be a well informed consumer, able to navigate through even the best marketing campaigns and decipher which of the many options is the right product for you and your family.
